Evaluation

IThe story the Frog Prince is presented below, analyze the story. Choose the nouns that are used and identify which kind of noun it is, whether Common or Proper Noun.

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful princess who had a golden ball. One day, while playing in the garden, the ball fell into a pond. She was very upset and did not know what to do. While she sat there crying helplessly, a frog hopped out of the pond and asked, “Why are you crying, little princess?” She told him about her golden ball. The ugly frog said, “I can help you get your ball but what will you give me in return?” “I will give you anything you want!” promised the princess. The frog immediately dived into the water and fetched the ball for her. The princess was very happy. The frog reminded her, “Remember that you promised me anything. Well, I want to be your friend, eat from your plate, and sleep in your palace!” The princess hated the idea but she agreed and ran back to the palace.
The next morning, the princess found the frog waiting for her. He said, “I have come to live in your palace.” Hearing this, the princess ran to her father, crying. When the kind king heard about the promise, he told her, “A promise is a promise and you must keep your word. You must let the frog stay here.” The princess was very angry but she had no choice and let the frog stay. He ate from her plate during dinner and asked the princess to take him to her bed at night. The princess picked him up angrily and threw him to the floor.
In a flash, the frog turned into a handsome prince! He told the princess that he had actually been under the spell of a wicked witch. The princess fell in love with the prince. They were married and lived happily ever after.

Content of the Lesson Plan

The lesson plan that I have chosen is all about nouns. It will teach us on how to use nouns and how to identify nouns in a story. First, let us define what is noun.

The words, apple, camera, sheep, Eiffel Tower, are all examples of nouns.

There are two major classification of nouns, and these are Common Nouns and Proper Nouns. Let's define each of the types of nouns.

Now we already know the definition of  PROPER  and COMMON NOUNS. Here are the examples of the two types of nouns.

Yes, Ana.

Okay, that’s good class however; every time I’d like you to answer me in complete sentences.
So who can tell me in complete sentence please.
We’re good ma’am!

Ma’am.

Name of person, Name of things, Name of place.
A noun is a word that names a person, a place or a thing.

(the teacher writes on the board)

Thank you very much for that. Now, please listen and list down nouns you can find in the story.

*The teacher starts with the story telling
-So now class, can you tell me the nouns that you listed from the story.
(The teacher categorizes the nouns provided by students)
So class you can see that I made two columns and categorized each word to proper or improper nouns.

What do you notice about each list of words in columns? Yes, Joey?

Very good Joey! Let’s give her a clap.

What about in the second column? Yes, Tonny?

Okay, good observation Tonny!

Now, since you’re able to give and categorized each words we’ll have a short activity in a form of a game.
Do you like it?

This is “SHAPES AND NOUNS”

First Day High

The College of Education Socialization 2k14 is held on September 27, 2014 at Notre Dame University Gymnasium. The theme of the socialization is First Day High- throwback. The theme means, you wear something that suits your personality during your first day in college. Either you're Demure, Brainy, Rebel, Sporty or Sossy.

Well, it depends on your personality. I wore a dress as if I'm the demure-type of person when I enter college. And that's a fact. I really love the socialization most especially the theme.I got to see my friends in different attires and socialize with other CED Families :))

I really enjoyed the party. though the theme is not that like with other colleges which costs a lot, I consider our socialization as the best socials ever!! And College of    Education ROCKS!!!
